Background story: Last night at dinner, Caroline let me know she was finished, as she always does. I let her up and noticed she was hiding the rest of her quesadilla in her hand. She walked over and called the cats to her and tried to feed them the quesadilla. This may not seem unusual unless you know we have NEVER done this. She has never seen us feed the cats. I have no idea where she would've gotten the idea.
It made me smile as I remember growing up with Luke, my brother 15 months older than me. I can't remember a single meal at our kitchen table that he didn't secretly feed the dogs under the table. Most of the time my parents had no idea and he would threaten me to keep me silent. He has such a big heart and it really shows in his love for animals. Every once in a while Caroline does something that reminds me so much of my brother Luke. What a wonderful person to be like!!! Happy Birthday, Luke!!! We love you!!
